BARRICADE DK SUPPORT SYSTEM
The patented DK support system has been designed to provide a high strength anchoring method for hoarding panels to prevent overturning in extreme wind conditions.
INSTALLATION
The support system utilises S&B's Steelhoard technology and combines the proven channel to post coupler with our Scafcladª unit resulting in a heavy-duty versatile DK connection.
We recommend using galvanised scaffolding tube with our range of site hoarding panels for maximum strength and durability. The DK system can be fixed directly onto scaffolding or into scaffold tubes located into the ground.
Posts can be installed into the ground by core drilling a hole 300mm to 400mm deep in tarmac or concrete. The pellet can be re-inserted when the hoarding is dismantled and re-bedded using Bitumen or grout.
Alternatively, in soft ground the posts can be concreted in. When the posts are installed DK fittings simply locate over the posts ready to accept the hoarding panels.

ADVANTAGES
- The S&B DK system offers a number of distinct advantages:
- Offers greater resistance to wind loadings than ballast systems and has been fully site tested over a 5-year period.
- Core drilling allows minimum ground disruption and enables drilled pellets to be re-inserted.
- Maximises site space, as backstays are not required.
- No trip hazard along front elevation of hoarding.
- Fewer components to transport to site means reduced costs.
- High stability ensures trouble-free installation over duration of contract.
- Components can be fully re-used and are produced in a long-life galvanized finish.
