S&B Silentsiteª has been developed from the proven Wonderwallª system and incorporates the patented Soundsealª noise reduction joint system. The noise reduction panels are pre-fabricated into a standard 2.4m x 1.0m cassette system.

Components
The Silentsiteª cassettes utilise four components to form a noise barrier conforming to BSEN 1793 parts 1&2.
- The perforated liner reduces reflected noise and offers protection to the acoustic mattress.
- The core of the cassette is an acoustic mattress that absorbs a wide range of sound frequencies.
- Ultrasteelª fascia sheets have an echoic surface and reduce direct sound transmission.
- The cassette panels have an aluminium frame, with the vertical posts fitting together to form Soundsealª, a sound proof sealing system that allows the units to be multi angled from 0 to 90¡.
- Forms a firewall, offering class 0 fire resistance.
Silentsiteª can be installed using a variety of methods:
- Can be connected onto the S&B DK Hoarding Support system in external situations.
- Shop front openings can be sealed using adjustable props from floor to soffit openings. SILentsiteª cassette can be easily fixed to the adjustable props using DK couplers.
- Panels can be directly fixed to all scaffolding structures using DK couplers.
- Self-supporting screens for internal use can be installed using spigot base plates.
Applications
Silentsiteª cassettes are suitable for all sound noise barrier reduction situations:
- Hoarding
Externally to form a site hoarding, which acts as a noise barrier, reducing sound from construction activities. - Sound Cell
To form a sound containment cell around noise sources such as generators, mechanical fans, pumps or tradesmen operating noisy equipment. - Soundwall
To form a noise reduction wall between shopfitters and the public in shopping centres and malls. Other applications include office and hospital refurbishments. - Firewall
Silentsiteª hoarding cassettes offer Class 0 fire resistance.
This can be effective not only in construction and industrial locations but also in areas where general public could be exposed such as supermarkets, airports, stations, hospitals and shopping centres.
